Who We Are

Higgs Construction Ltd has been selected for a number of significant projects due to our consistent ability to deliver projects in our region on time and to the highest level of finish.

Higgs Construction Ltd is a long standing local company with our head office and staff based in and around Christchurch.

We have a great level of support from our subcontractors whom take pride and preference in working with us. We pride ourselves on our delivery and the level of quality we achieve.

We have a permanent staff of 70 personnel consisting of the directors, administration staff, health and safety, quantity surveyors, contracts managers, project managers, foremen carpenters, carpenters, apprentice carpenters, labourers and crane/truck drivers. Due to our level of resource we rely on little hired plant and personnel.

It is our company policy to have one of our Project Managers working full time on the construction site on contracts in excess of $1.0 million in value, along with a site foreman and leading hand carpenters.

The plant owned by our company has a value of several million dollars and has been sufficient to allow us to complete major projects such as St Georges Hospital Redevelopment, Stages 1, 2 and 3, Canon Wilford Wing, Tait Electronics Head Office, Lincoln University triple award wining Landscape Architecture Building and the New Dining Hall, Kitchen and Cafe.
