Projects of Interest

The University of Otago – School of Medicine

(Located at Christchurch Hospital)

This project started as a relatively small project, however due to the Canterbury earthquakes the project evolved into a structural repair, interior strip out and retrofit of a 10 storey building.

Together with the Otago University School of Medicine and the design team, we completed the detailed repairs and strengthening. The project comprised of FRP repairs, injection works, major element replacement including stairwells and the construction and refurbishment of specialist rooms, laboratories and offices, which make up a complex building. Specifically for medical education.

The value of this project is approximately $8.0 million + GST and the project was lead by our Project Manager was Robert De Beus.

The work commenced just prior to the September 2010 earthquake and was completed in February 2013 for the return of students for the beginning of the first term of 2013.
